School Visits

Like many authors, I enjoy sharing my books with children. As both a former teacher and a parent, I know teachers want authors to be engaging, inspiring, and educational. I develop my presentations in conjunction with teachers and librarians.
I present both in-person and virtually for schools, libraries, festivals, and museums. My standard presentations include How Books Are Made and The Writing Process for K-2 and The Writing Process and Writing Workshop for grades 2-5. I also have a presentation focused on VAMPIRINA BALLERINA in which I discuss perseverance and hard work. These presentations last about 45 minutes and include time for Q&A.
I can also create custom presentations to meet your school’s needs for an extra fee. In the past, examples of specialty presentations include a Beginnings/Middles/Endings workshop for third graders and a revision workshop for fourth graders.
