Writing for Kids

        I have always been a reader.  I have always been a writer. I thought that loving reading and writing meant I should be an English teacher.  I taught middle and high school for about five years.  I quit teaching after the first of my four children was born, a decision which gave me more time to rediscover the books I had always loved best, the ones with the Js on their spines. Once I realized that my love for writing and my love for children's books meant I should be writing for children, I never looked back.
